Lima had initially planned to tour with bandmate Brad Fischetti in the spring of 2018, but he soon discovered some health issues.

Shortly after his surgery, Fischetti posted a video to YouTube, telling their fans that Lima had been diagnosed with stage 4 adrenal cancer. Their biggest hit was "Summer Girls" in 1999 which peaked at #3 on Billboard Hot 100.

LFO, a popular 90s group, was best known for their hits, "Summer Girls", "Girl on TV", and "Every Other Time".

The band released a second album "Life Is Good" in 2001 but the release had lackluster sales.

After Cronin's death, Devin and Brad Fischetti disbanded LFO - short for Lyte Funkie Ones - but they reunited in 2017 with the hopes of touring again.

Lima's passing comes after LFO bandmate Rich Cronin died from leukemia in 2010 at age 36.

"Devin asked me to give you this update without him because, frankly, he's just not feeling very well". The group released the song, "Perfect 10", in the summer of a year ago. "But he asked me to send you his love and gratitude for all the love and prayers you've sent his way". He's had a tough recovery.

The cancer spread to Lima's kidney, which was removed.

"I wish we had better news to share", Fischetti said in the 2017 video.
