Mr & Mrs: the new Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle sports a bespoke Stella McCartney halter-neck gown at the after party of her wedding to Prince Harry.

Kensington Palace has said the Queen and the Duchess of Sussex will arrive early on Thursday morning at Runcorn Station to carry out a series of royal engagements. The 36-year-old former TV actress and the 92-year-old monarch at one point looked relaxed and giggled as they sat together at an event marking the opening of a new bridge in Cheshire, about 200 miles north of London.

"What is your preference?"

Meanwhile, the Queen wore a green ensemble by Stewart Parvin, which she paired with a matching fascinator by Rachel Trevor Morgan. But nope, they made a decision to go back to the place where they had their first vacation together: Africa.

Meghan's earrings were in fact a gift from the Queen.

But it gets bigger than that - Meghan has also been invited for a sleepover on board the Queen's own person train - a feat even Harry, Prince William and Kate Middleton have not yet achieved.

The royal couple, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been photographed in their first royal engagement since they tied the knot last Saturday.

Meghan and the Queen travelled to Chester overnight, enjoying the luxury of the seldom-used Royal Train. "It looks like she is rather distracted by his interest, information and conversation than anything to do with the queen".

The Duchess was quite attentive and respectful, keeping an appropriate distance behind Her Royal Highness as they walked around the town of Cheshire.

Meghan is the first of the younger generation of royals to use the train.

Once everyone arrived, the family gathered together on the balcony to observe the iconic fly-past by the Royal Air Force.

While in Chester, the duo attended the grand opening of the Mersey Gateway Bridge, where they met with architects and community representatives. "I feel this is a clever styling tactic as it will always work with the Queen's look; she is known and applauded for her use of bright fun colors".
