Rockets Vs Warriors: Chris Paul’s Game 6 Status In Question

Chris Paul made his first conference finals in what has been a Hall of Fame career and has the Houston Rockets on the brink of a trip to the Finals. Asked specifically about Game 6 on Saturday, Paul said, "Oh, yeah".

Klay Thompson shook off a knee injury that had his status for this game in question to score 23 points and Curry added 22.

D'Antoni said "without a doubt" the team will be able to handle the challenge of playing Game 6 without CP3. It's just another bite from the injury bug that has once again come at an inopportune time for the longtime National Basketball Association star. He sank a big basket down the stretch for the second game in a row. Chandler returned in the playoffs, but the Hornets' rhythm didn't follow suit. He's one of our keys and we've missed him the last two games.

Let's just hope Chris Paul is available to shimmy again in these playoffs.

Warriors bench: David West, Quinn Cook, Jordan Bell, Shaun Livingston and Nick Young combined to play 53 minutes and scored just four points on 2-of-8 shooting.

He had himself a night in Game 5, scoring 20 points and tallying seven rebounds, six assists and three steals for the Rockets. But the Clippers eventually bowed out, ironically, to the Rockets after losing the final three games of the series.

"I remember the last game, I set a screen for CP and he hits me and I'm wide open for a 3, and James, same thing tonight".

Houston now holds a 3-2 series lead after winning 98-94 over the Warriors. Griffin did not return, and Paul and the Clippers never recovered.

After Paul was ruled out, the Warriors were listed as high as 12-point favorites over the Rockets. However, he sustained a hamstring injury on Thursday night in the waning seconds of Houston's Game 5 win over the Warriors.
