Whether or not they have spoken, Trump this evening tweeted Kanye West to thank him for the support.

He tweeted: 'my wife just called me and she wanted me to make this clear to everyone.

"Black people don't have to be democrats", he continued.

West opened a torrent of criticism when he tweeted videos of Trump supporter Scott Adams, the creator of the Dilbert cartoon series, on his Twitter account Monday.

Rapper, designer, and avid Twitter enthusiast Kanye West wrote a deluge of tweets on Wednesday afternoon that divided his many fans. "Y'all are aggravating the black people at the expense of dragging their outrage into more clicks/streams etc for whatever Kanye is about to drop".

"I love that great, brilliant artists have the power to imagine a better future", he tweeted.

'Obama was in office for eight years and nothing in Chicago changed, ' he tweeted. "He never said he agrees with his politics." she tweeted.

"Before I was aware you were a Trump lover I thought you were nuts".

After getting a supportive retweet from President Trump, the "Yeezus" rapper apparently lost 9 million followers minutes later. He went on to say that he doesn't have to agree with everything anyone does as that's what being an individual is all about.

Mr Trump personally responded to West's endorsement, tweeting "Thank you Kanye, very cool" and "MAGA!" in reference to the red hat picture.

Not long before President Trump's inauguration, the two met at Trump Tower in a meeting to discuss how to address growing violence in West's native city of Chicago. "That's just not fair", she added.

A radio personality who said he had spoken to West told listeners Monday that West remains fond of Trump, relaying that West told him, "I do love Donald Trump".

He's actually out of the sunken place when he's being himself which is very expressive.

Over the last few years, Kanye West has been in and out of the news news due to his controversial behavior and questionable mental health.

He then showed off his Trump-autographed hat in a separate tweet. "She's fully supportive of him".
