As per Robert Cihra, the Guggenheim analyst, Apple is ready to make a huge modification in the manner it names succeeding generations of handsets this year.

Since we launched our Apple News integration earlier this month, about 700 people have started following TidBITS on Apple News, and have viewed articles about 1500 times. Strangely past reports claim that the SE2 would follow in the footsteps of older iPhone models and ditch the headphone jack entirely. So, if an updated iPhone SE is in development, what new features could we expect?

- The leaked images shared by letemsvetemapplem.eu suggest that unlike its predecessor, which comes with an aluminium back design, iPhone SE 2 is likely to sport a full glass back design.

In the Christmas quarter, the ASP grew to $796, indicating that the iPhone X accounted for a large percentage of the 77.3 million iPhones that Apple sold during the period.

Previously, in a leak, iPhone SE 2 was suspected to have an iPhone X-like design and later another rumor suggested that the device won't have the headphone jack.

But as pointed out by The Verge, Apple needs a new iPhone SE 2 because of the Chinese competition it sees in markets like India.

The iPhone X was revolutionary in a number of ways, most notably with the removal of the Home button.

Has flagging iPhone sales prompted Apple to update its two-year-old budget phone iPhone SE? Both the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus feature the same 64-bit A11 Bionic chip with a Neural engine and an Embedded M11 motion coprocessor as the regular variants.

Most reports agree that the successor to the iPhone SE will not be a total revamp.

The iPhone 8 and the iPhone 8 Plus were retailing at their launch in September 2017 for $699 and $849 respectively, at a bare minimum, but with additional memory capacity, they could cost as much as $849 and $949 respectively. A shift to the iPhone X-like Face ID feature will only make the iPhone SE 2 more expensive and it's unlikely that Apple would want that to happen. Other expected features include Apple A10 Fusion processor, 2GB RAM and two storage options as, 32GB and 128GB.
