The man arrested for stealing Frances McDormand's Oscars trophy filmed himself with the statue at the Oscars award ceremony on Sunday night.

The man, dressed in a tuxedo with hair held back in hairpins, is seen in the 165-seconds of footage posted to the page of a Terry Bryant Djmatari issuing the trophy and allowing bystanders to touch it.

He was caught trying to leave the party by a photographer who followed Bryant because he didn't recognize him. Officers took him into custody shortly before midnight, according to LAPD.

Police said Bryant was exiting the Governors Ball when he was photographed holding an Oscar statuette. "We got it tonight, baby".

McDormand's Oscar was awarded for playing a vengeance-seeking mother who is let down by the authorities after her daughter is raped and murdered.

On her part, McDormand won Best Actress at the 2018 Oscars. The lady was absolutely disheartened but thankfully she was reunited with her trophy soon.

Unfortunately, Terry Bryant didn't get that particular memo.

A representative for the actress told USA Today: "Fran and Oscar are happily reunited and are enjoying an In-N-Out burger together".
