On Smackdown Live, Daniel Bryan kicked off the show by addressing the news in front of a jubilant crowd.
Two years after emotionally announcing his retirement from the ring, WWE said Tuesday the former world heavyweight champion, real name Bryan Danielson, has been cleared to compete again. Over a 24 hour span, WWE fans essentially went from resigned to the fact that they would never see Bryan wrestle again inside a WWE ring, to anticipating his match at WrestleMania in a couple of weeks.
Dr Robert Cantu is also one of the foremost experts in chronic traumatic encephalopathy, otherwise known as CTE, which is a brain disease that has been found in athletes and army veterans who are at risk of repeat head trauma. "From a family perspective, I've had the chance to talk to Bryan at length about his passion for wrestling and it is what he was born to do and I know deep down how he feels about it", Cena said.
"Included in his medical records were multiple evaluations by renowned concussion clinicians", Cantu told Newsweek's Tufayel Ahmed.
I determined that Bryan is now asymptomatic, has a normal detailed neurological and cognitive neuropsychological examination, normal EEG, and an MRI that showed no definite evidence of a prior brain injury. However, symptoms of CTE can be diagnosed in the living, including depression, aggressive behavior and dementia.More news: Apple is developing its own MicroLED screens for Apple Watch and iPhone

WWE fired him to avoid a PR disaster, although now it looks like the two sides are finally talking to one another again.
John Cena would "absolutely" face off with Conor McGregor in a WWE ring.
In honour of Daniel Bryan's medical clearance - and return to active competition - this week, we've put together a special Flashback Friday treat.
Well, this is incredible news. He looked like he hadn't missed a step!
