She sets up shop right outside Urbn Leaf marijuana dispensary in San Diego.

When Alison Bushan with Girl Scouts San Diego saw the social media post, she had to consult the "Family Cookie Guide" book.

Digital Cookie is a new interactive, e-commerce platform that allows girls to market and sell Girl Scout Cookies through their own online store.

Urbn Leaf founder Will Senn said the girl was passing by with her parents and wagon of cookies and he wanted to help them fundraise.

Strategically positioning her cookie sales table outside of the Urbn Leaf cannabis dispensary, an enterprising girl managed to move 300 boxes of the Girl Scouts' famed cookies in just six hours.

At the beginning of the sale GSSJC announced its goal to donate 120,000 packages of Girl Scout Cookies to members of the military and first responders who supported relief efforts after Hurricane Harvey.

Marijuana is medicinal and not like alcohol, Senn countered, adding that doctors have been known to prescribe it to treat epilepsy in children.

"As Girl Scouts, we assume good intent", Doyle said.

As more and more states legalize the green herb, cookie-peddling scouts will do well to take note of this San Diego youth's technique and spunk: go where the wildly hungry things are. Should we became aware that a girl has repeated an infraction, there could be consequences, determined on a case-by-case basis.

Since the use of recreational marijuana became legal in California on January 1, Senn said it is rapidly becoming accepted.
