Microsoft has announced it is expanding Xbox Game Pass and will start releasing first-party Xbox One exclusives through the subscription service.

Thus, if you see Sea of Thieves in the Game Pass library, it will automatically work on your Windows 10 computer.

Microsoft Studios isn't stopping there because future first party titles are also coming to the service including new iterations from the Halo, Forza and Gears of War franchises. A large number of the Xbox Game Pass games now available are console-exclusives, so that means the subscription isn't necessarily worthwhile if you're not also playing on Xbox. This was to be expected anyway. That is, while you can take advantage of it to enjoy Gears of War 4, ReCore: Definitive Edition and Halo Wars 2, it does not give you access to titles like Halo 5: Guardians, Darksiders or Resident Evil 6. Xbox Game Pass was back in June previous year as Microsoft's paid service to offer over a 100-title bouquet at an as low monthly charge as Rs. 699.

It would improve on the current Xbox Games Pass lineup, which leans heavily on older titles.

Microsoft also announced that six-month subscriptions will soon be available at retailers.

The Xbox Game Pass has kind of been flying under the radar.

She continued: "We've listened to our community and are excited to be bringing this new console to Indian gamers".

Each month, Xbox Game Pass will add a new set of games to the catalogue, much in the same way Xbox One Backwards Compatibility titles are added.

"We firmly believe Xbox Game Pass will be a catalyst to create new opportunities for game developers and publishers to innovate in the way games are developed and delivered, leading to entirely new ways to play".
