So the fact that she even scored an invite to begin with, coupled with the fact that Markle and Kate Middleton looked like old friends in all the photos we've seen from the day, back up what Harry is saying about his family being happy to have her in attendance. "No look, she's done an absolutely awesome job".

Prince Harry said Markle "really enjoyed" the time she shared with the Queen and other royals, breaking with tradition to be the first fiancee to spend Christmas at Sandringham.

It's unclear whether he meant that in jest or actually felt as though the storied royal family provides her with something she may not have had growing up, but someone from her family who wasn't too fond of Prince Harry's commentary was Meghan's half-sister, Samantha.

When one tweeter said Meghan was "estranged" from some of her relatives, Grant wrote, "She has a large family".

Grant continued in another tweet, stating: "Meg's family (our family) is complete with sister, brother, aunts, uncles, cousins, and the glue of our family, our awesome completely self-sacrificing father". Marrying merely extends it.

Grant confirmed the book and its title, but denied the rest on Good Morning Britain, talking about her half-sister in the most complimentary terms. She described her father as the "glue of our family" who always had them. She always did. Our dad is fantastic and completely self-sacrificing.

In an earlier tweet, Samantha dropped a heavy hint that she would reveal details of Meghan's childhood in a book she is writing. "How fun it was!"

Prince Harry, 33, had said on BBC Radio 4's "Today" program, "I think we've got one of the biggest families that I know of".

"When I watch her with him it's very real and normal", she said.

Grant has spoken ill of both her siblings.

The Suits actress's father and mother, Doria Radlan, had divorced when she was six years old. But after the producers heard about her relationship with Harry, they chose to focus on the other actresses.

"Her behavior is certainly not befitting of a royal family member", she said.

"Together we had an unbelievable time", Harry continued.

She has also called out her brother on Twitter several times for allegedly telling the tabloids that Markle got her start thanks to their dad winning the lottery.
