The option to share to Facebook will automatically be selected when you click share to your Instagram story, but you can unselect it if you don't want to double share - quite like double dipping it depends on who you are friends with.

Instagram added a new polling feature to the popular Stories format, the photo-sharing platform said in a blog post. "We're always working to make it easier to share any moment with the people who matter to you" as told by a Facebook spokesperson.

After testing in Portugal last month, the option to syndicate Instagram Stories to Facebook Stories has now also appeared for USA users. Well, this is also one of the reasons for Facebook to allow direct posting of Instagram Stories on Facebook Stories. Like other Instagram Stories, polls disappear after 24 hours.

We had earlier written that it made more sense if Facebook could just sync Facebook and Instagram stories - as both the social networks can easily be linked together for a single user.

Facebook has been aggressively pushing Stories onto all of its platforms.

Despite it having pride of place at the top of the News Feed, most Facebook users are ignoring it, possibly because the Facebook Camera is still relatively new and unfamiliar.

You will then see an option that allows you to switch on the "Shre your story to Instagram" option. To rope in more numbers for their Stories, Instagram will now offer its members to post Stories directly to Facebook.

Facebook first began testing this feature out in Portugal last month. Have you ever used Stories on Facebook?
