Addressing a Press conference, Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh said 19 potential trouble makers had been taken into preventive custody and the crackdown would continue ahead of the sentencing.
Asked whether the Haryana Government had failed to control the situation, Mehrishi said, "In an ongoing situation we can not blame anyone".

Defending his government on not preventing the build up of followers from Punjab into Panchkula, he said: "Did Khattar call me up to stop people from entering Panchkula or his director general of police call up his Punjab counterpart or his chief secretary call up Punjab chief secretary?"
In the same breath, Khaira castigated the Haryana and Punjab governments for failing to maintain law and order after the verdict against the Dera chief was pronounced. "We are in touch with the Western Command and the south western command", the Chief Minister said.

He also said that people are scared and there is a panic like situation in the state.
Sirsa, home to Dera Sacha Sauda's chief Ram Rahim is already under curfew.
Captain Amarinder disclosed that curfew had been lifted in three districts (Muktsar, Fairdkot and Sangrur) of the state and relaxed in the other areas where it was imposed yesterday. "Additional security forces have been deployed in sensitive areas with large number of Dera supporters and patrolling has been strengthened", the spokesperson said.
