Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts and large hail.
More thunderstorms are headed toward parts of the Greater Toronto Area on Wednesday afternoon.
The severe thunderstorm watch says atmospheric conditions are ripe for the development of unsafe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging wind gusts, damaging hail, lightning strikes and torrential rain.
The National Weather Service says the area of the state with a marginal severe outlook covers the Burlington, Akron, Sterling and Julesburg areas.
