Wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant and left-arm wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav have been selected in India's squad for the tour of the West Indies which gets underway on June 23.

The decision in this regard is likely to come on Friday after Cricket Advisory Committee - consisting of Sourav Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman -is likely to meet captain Virat Kohli. Kumble is one of the candidates in contention, after the BCCI invited applications for the job amid reports that Virat Kohli and some senior players were unhappy with Kumble's methods.

Rishabh Pant had an impressive IPL for the Delhi Daredevils. Jasprit Bumrah also not picked in the 15-man squad for five ODIs and only T20I. But a bigger surprise was lack of clarity on the status of Anil Kumble. Team India is now playing in the ICC Champions Trophy in England.

Before every match, Rohit is seen having sessions with Patrick Farhart who keeps a hawk eye on his fragile hamstring.

The rest of the team remained unchanged, including the administrative staff, though there has been no clarification as to who would be the head coach of the Indian team. While Rishabh Pant is expected to open the innings alongside Dhawan. The tournament will end on the 18th and they will fly to the West Indies after it.

Pant will certainly feature in the single T20 global, having already made his debut.

Kuldeep has been on coach Kumble's radar for a long time now and even chairman of selectors Prasad feels he is one for the future. While, Kuldeep made his mark during his lone Test appearance in Dharamshala against Australia.
