Tennis great Serena Williams and her fiance, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, made their red carpet debut - along with Williams' baby bump - at the 2017 Met Gala on Monday night in NY.

She shows you can have it all: career, a baby on the way and a hot, successful man by your side through it all. Williams agreed, adding that she and her man "have time" to prepare for the arrival of their baby this fall.

Watch Serena Williams talk to Andre Leon Talley at the Met Gala. The 35-year-old tennis player recently (and accidentally) announced that she's pregnant, and also shared the exciting news that she's engaged to the (relatively unknown) tech mogul and co-founder of Reddit, Alexis Ohanian, 34.

It is disappointing, but not surprising, that the athlete's pregnancy announcement brought speculation about whether Williams has a post-baby future in a sport she has dominated for years.

During a TED Conference interview with Gayle King, Williams was asked how she knew her fiancé was "the one". "And you know how social media is when you press the wrong button. and [there it was]". "I can't wait for you to join the players' box next year", the post continued. My number one, @Serenawilliams, is pregnant (she announced officially earlier today) and I'm so excited to meet the little one. "I feel like once you experience it, you always want to get that feeling again".

Several headlines questioned Williams' ability to bounce back after having her child.

"My Dearest Baby", Williams wrote.
