Huey Games has announced plans to release Hyper Sentinel on Nintendo Switch, taking flight in the coming months. Both of those tournaments will be streamed live from the show floor and will show off how Nintendo IPs can thrive in the competitive gaming scene outside of Smash Bros. In addition to the usual Nintendo Spotlight video on the morning the show begins, there will be a Nintendo Treehouse: Live running throughout the event and tournaments for ARMS and Splatoon 2. Composed of four pre-qualified squid squads from Australia, Europe, Japan, New Zealand and the US, the tournament will test who is the best squad and who will emerge victorious. The second tournament will be the Arms Open Invitational, which features the Nintendo Switch fighting game, Arms. Nintendo says it'll focus on Switch and 3DS games for release in 2017, specifically mentioning Super Mario Odyssey. This yearly E3 Nintendo Direct will be available to view live at the official Nintendo E3 page.

As if anyone were unsure, Nintendo will be appearing at E3 2017 in June. Where is Skyrim? We're not sure how the progress of porting an nearly 5 year old game to the console is going but it doesn't seem to be going fast. The third-person puzzle-solving game was announced in 2013 and is set to hit the PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Switch consoles by end of summer 2017. Nintendo anticipates Switch demand to remain strong through the rest of the year.

As expected, Nintendo will not host a traditional E3 press conference this year.
