New photo celebrates Princess Charlotte's second birthday

Kensington Palace has not revealed plans on how Princess Charlotte's birthday will be celebrated, but that is not stopping us from sending her happy birthday wishes!

May 2, 2017, marks the second birthday for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's second child, Charlotte.

She is officially named Charlotte Elizabeth Diana, in tribute to her late grandmother Diana, Princess of Wales, and her great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II.

"The Duke and Duchess are delighted to share a new photograph of Princess Charlotte to mark her second birthday tomorrow", Kensington Palace tweeted to its royal subjects and devoted viewers of The Crown.

The artist formerly known as Kate Middleton photographed her daughter in April at their country compound in Norfolk.

Prince William and Kate Middleton's daughter, Princess Charlotte, turns 2 years old on Tuesday and she's already mastered posing for the camera.

A new picture of Princess Charlotte enjoying the outdoors, taken by her mother, has been released ahead of her second birthday.

The rosy-cheeked tot is pictured in a yellow knitted cardigan with blue sheep detail and a matching blue bow in her hair.

The Twitter account for the couple's royal residence, Kensington Palace, shared the photo along with a note from William and Catherine.

Princes Chrlotte poses for a photo in May past year. Since it's not like Middleton has her own Instagram and is sharing photos of Charlotte as she grows, this is a rare glimpse into her life as a toddler, and definitely a welcome one. On Christmas Day 2016, the royal family attended a church service near their home in Bucklebury, Berkshire. When they left, the royal children were clutching candy canes.
