Temperatures are forecast to be in the low 60s and upper 50s through the weekend and into early next week. Earlier in the morning, the system brought strong thunderstorms to western Arkansas, with the possibility of quarter-size hail and winds up to 50 miles per hour. That precipitation will easily run off with the ground already saturated from recent rainfall, creating the potential for flooding. Saturday will cool further, with another day of rain showers expected accompanying breezy winds.

"Flooding of low areas that have yet to drain from the past heavy rainfall will likely undergo more widespread flooding", the outlook cautioned. And the weekend promises even warmer temperatures with highs of about 83 degrees Saturday and 81 Sunday.
