The 2017 NBA Awards will feature integrations with the Inside the NBA studio team of Ernie Johnson, Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith and Shaquille O'Neal, along with NBA and Hollywood stars, in addition to musical performances. The global ambassador of the Toronto Raptors hosts Drake Night in his native Canada each year and has been a frequent VIP guest courtside as well as the NBA All-Star Games. "I get to take the reigns on it", Drake said in the interview (h/t Slam's Ryne Nelson). "I love being in a room full of iconic, legendary people that I look up to and having that pressure of having to make them laugh and enjoy their evening". He did the duties for the 2014 ESPYs and absolutely stole the show. But only time will tell as fans will circle June 26 to find out who will become winners of these prestigious awards. The event will honor some of the league's top athletes, in categories such as NBA Rookie of the Year, Most Valuable Player and Coach of the Year.

Additional fan-voted awards categories will also be included, and the finalists will be announced this Thurs., April 27, during TNT's Inside the National Basketball Association - and social media awards.
