This could be a bad time to test the patience of potential buyers, as Samsung and LG are both heavily promoting their new flagship handsets, the S8 and G6. This Blackberry phone has made its fans wait for some important reasons like the keyboard which none of the android phones have. These are not present in modern day smartphones. The pre-installed DTEK app will keep an eye on your phone's security status and will let you know if any apps are taking advantage of any permissions they've been granted. This has been a signature feature of BlackBerry phones. A new security dashboard is also something new that will amaze the users.

The phone will first show up for pre-order in Canada on May 18 for $199 with a two year contract, from carriers such as Rogers, SaskTel, TELUS Business, Bell and Bell MTS. The unlocked BlackBerry KEYone will cost $549 (roughly Rs. 35,300) in the U.S., while the carrier-locked ones will be priced at CAD 199 (roughly Rs. 10,000) for two years in Canada. As far as who it carry it in the USA will be revealed in the upcoming weeks.

The BlackBerry KEYone is a major refocus of the brand with BlackBerry mainly dedicated to the software while TCL puts major emphasis on the hardware. The smartphone will reportedly target the professional and the enthusiastic ones. It's also manufactured by a third-party company called TCL, who also handled marketing and distribution for the phone. The Galaxy S8 is available for C$250 on similar terms. Hence, the KeyOne has very big mountains to climb.
